HD Kumaraswamy said, “The party leaders have asked to convey this message to the BJP leadership to treat JDS with respect.” He told this to JDS core committee members, observers of all Lok Sabha constituencies, district presidents and Talked about meeting with current and former MLAs.
On which seats does JDS want to contest?
JDS hopes that it will be given Mandya, Hassan and Kolar seats of Karnataka under seat sharing, but BJP wants to field its candidate from Kolar seat. For this reason, seat distribution has not taken place between the two parties yet.
JDS had joined the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in September last year itself.
When are the elections in Karnataka?
The Election Commission recently announced that voting for 28 Lok Sabha seats in Karnataka will be held in two phases. In the first phase, elections will be held in Bengaluru South, Bengaluru Central, Bengaluru North, Bengaluru Rural, Mysuru, Mandya, Dakshina Kannada, Chamarajanagar, Chikkaballapura, Chitradurga, Udupi-Chikkamagaluru, Tumkuru, Hassan and Kolar.
Whereas in Karnataka, in the second phase, elections will be held in Raichur, Kalaburagi, Uttara Kannada, Bidar, Belagavi, Chikkodi, Bagalkot, Haveri, Koppal, Davangere, Shivamogga, Dharwad, Bellary and Bijapur.
