On meeting Delhi LG VK Saxena, BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj said that it is very shameful that the Aam Aadmi Party government of Delhi has not paid salaries to Anganwadi workers for the last seven months. Asha workers are working on a salary of Rs 3,000 and their stipend has not been increased. AAP government is not paying attention to his words. I met the LG of Delhi in this regard and I am happy that he has assured me that he will give instructions to the CM of Delhi on this issue.

There has been no increase in his stipend, which is mandatory to be increased every three years as per the policy, so far.

The BJP MP further wrote that he met LG of Delhi Vinay Kumar Saxena regarding this matter and expressed the problems of our sisters. He listened sensitively to the plight of our Asha workers and Anganwadi sisters and assured to discuss with the Chief Minister for a solution.
