The body of a missing girl was found in the Lower Ganga canal in Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday morning. When people saw it they informed the police. Within some time a crowd of people gathered at the spot. The police reached the spot after getting information and took out the dead body. Got him identified.
The incident took place near Sitapur village of Dannahar police station area. Here the dead body of a young woman was being lowered into the Lower Ganga Canal. When people saw, a crowd gathered. Police reached the spot after getting information and took out the body. He was identified as Karishma (20), resident of Nagla Salehi village of Aunchha police station area.
After receiving the news the family members reached the spot crying. He told that the daughter had left the house at around 8 o’clock on Monday. After this it was nowhere to be found. He could not tell the cause of death. The police sent the body for autopsy. The case is being investigated.
