This match to be played at Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) will be called Pink Test. Pink test was started in 2009. Pink Test is called the first test of the year, which is played with red ball. This Test is played in memory of Glenn McGrath’s late wife Jane McGrath, who died of breast cancer in 2008.
Glenn McGrath founded the McGrath Foundation in Jane’s memory, which supports breast cancer patients and their families. The purpose of the Pink Test is to raise awareness and funds about breast cancer.
During the Pink Test the entire stadium is drenched in pink colour. The stands, staff and players’ jerseys all have a glimpse of pink. Australian players especially wear pink colored caps and their names and numbers are also written in pink color on the jerseys.

Sydney test is decisive for India
The importance of this match is not limited only to India’s comeback in the series, but it is the last chance to keep alive the hopes of reaching the WTC final.
