According to a report by South China Morning Post, the stress caused by excessive work in China is being called ‘work smell’. To avoid this work smell, people are listing their toxic bosses, toxic employees and jobs for sale online. Their price has been set between 4 to 9 lakhs. Interestingly, people also come to buy it. It is a different matter that this is being done just for fun. Under this, no real deal takes place nor is the ‘product’ bought or sold for money.
People take ‘revenge’ by selling online
A seller said that when he had put up a listing, someone came to make the payment. In such a situation, he gave him a refund and deleted the listing. This is done only to express one’s emotions. People even list their jobs for sale on Jianyu to relieve their frustration. This seems like a small revenge to them, although there is no transaction of money in it.
