This man bought an island for less than the price of a 2 BHK house and started living there with his girlfriend. He built such a house there that you will keep looking at it when you see it!

According to the report of the New York Post website, 24-year-old Oliver Russell grew up in California, USA. He often used to visit Laguna Beach there. After this, in 2020, he settled in Fort Collins area of Colorado. He used to go to Finland during summer vacations where many of his family members used to live. He thought of going to Helsinki, Finland to study. In August 2022, he also fulfilled his dream.

The couple started living on the island
In Finland, Oliver met 20-year-old Helena (Helena Tomaszewska) and slowly both of them fell in love with each other. Once both of them saw an island in Finland on a property website which was up for sale. The surprising thing was that the island was only for 31 thousand dollars (26 lakh rupees). In cities like Delhi-Noida, you will not easily find even a 2BHK house for that much money. They bought a two and a half acre island in March 2024 for less than that. When they bought the island, someone was living there.
Many things have been made for living on the island
Since then, they have built an island tent, an outhouse, which they have converted into a summer cabin and a sauna. This is how they want to spend their holidays here. Oliver said that summer cottage life is an important part of the culture in Finland. The island is so peaceful that the couple spends their summer days here comfortably and also visits their relatives. They have built a small tent on the island, as well as arranged for a wooden bathroom and other facilities. Apart from this, they have prepared sauna cabins.
