To curb accidents in Unnao district, the Police Department is celebrating Road Safety Month from January 5 to February 4. Many lost their lives in accidents till the last day of the month on Saturday. On Friday, a car went uncontrolled on the expressway in the district, breaking the divider grill and moving into the second lane.

Simultaneously, it collided with a car coming from Lucknow and overturned. The car driver, his wife, daughter, mother-in-law and sister-in-law, a resident of Barabanki, died in the accident on Friday. At the same time, three people including two sons of the deceased couple were injured. The rescue team of Police and UPDA took everyone to the health center.

Declaring five dead, the doctor had referred two of the three seriously injured children to Lucknow KGMU. Two more people succumbed to the injuries. Eight people from the same family had gone to Agra to visit the Taj Mahal. Seven people have died in this.

DCM, truck and dumper collision

DCM, truck and dumper collided on Lucknow-Kanpur highway on December 3 near Chamrauli of Ajgain Kotwali. Due to which two real brothers riding the dumper were burnt alive due to fire in the dumper and DCM. While the truck driver and conductor were injured. In the incident, there was a situation of jam on the highway from morning till evening.

Heavy collision of sleeper bus and DCM

On January 9, a sleeper bus going from Rajkot in Gujarat to Palia Tikunia in Lakhimpur district collided with the DCM going ahead on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway. During the accident, 60 passengers from Nepal were sitting in the bus, in which four including a woman were killed. Six people were injured.

High speed dumper crushed mother and daughter

On January 22, on the Kanpur-Lucknow highway, late in the evening at the Azad Marg intersection of Achalganj police station area, a high-speed dumper crushed a mother, daughter and a bike rider and fell on the car of father, son and son-in-law, who were going to offer Tilak. Six people had died in the incident.

The car rammed into an unknown vehicle

On January 27, on the Kanpur-Lucknow highway, a car going from Gujarat to Pratapgarh rammed into an unknown vehicle parked on the roadside near Gahira in Achalganj area. In this, the father-son and grandson, residents of Gujarat, who were in the car, died on the spot. Apart from an innocent and a teenager in the car, three women were injured in the accident.
