Godda. In Jharkhand, people like to eat Ghughni Mudhi as breakfast. In every big and small town of Jharkhand, you will find more than one shop of Ghughni Mudhi. One such shop is located at Mohanpur Chowk in Godda. This shop of Narayan Dev is famous in Ghughni Mudhi area.
In this shop, 20 to 25 kg of gram flour is consumed daily. The owner of the shop says that daily about 2 to 2.5 thousand customers come to this shop to have breakfast. Where they get a delicious breakfast for just Rs.15. In the breakfast, mudhi, gram ghugni, sio, onion, dumplings made of gram flour, potato chaap and gram soaked in water, mixed with peas and moong are given. Due to which a person’s stomach is filled comfortably.
What do customers say about the shop?
Muzaffar, a customer who came to have breakfast at the shop, says that whenever he goes to Godda from Lalmatia, he has breakfast at this shop. Here breakfast is prepared and served in sakhua leaves for just Rs.15. Which completely gives a feel of Jharkhandi taste. On the other hand, another customer Chandan Kumar says that along with breakfast, the samosa, brinjal chap, tomato chap, potato chap and rasgulla of this shop are also very tasty. Spongy Rasgulla like this shop is also not available anywhere else.
