To make Paneer Rosti you will need

  • Curd – 1 cup
  • Semolina – one and a half cup
  • Paneer – 150 grams
  • Ginger – a small piece
  • Onion – 1 small chopped
  • Capsicum – 1 small chopped
  • Carrot – 1 finely chopped
  • Green chili – 2 finely chopped
  • Garlic – 2-3 cloves chopped
  • Beans – ½ cup chopped
  • Chili flakes – 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder – half tsp
  • Black pepper powder – half tsp
  • Oil – 2 tbsp
  • Cumin – half teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder – half teaspoon
  • Curry leaves – 6-7
  • Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
  • water as required
  • salt to taste

Paneer Rosti Recipe

Put semolina and curd in a bowl. Add one cup of water to it and mix it well. Put the pan on the gas and put one spoon of oil in it, add mustard seeds, cumin, curry leaves and fry for a few seconds. Now add green chillies, garlic, ginger and onion and fry them for a few seconds. When they turn golden brown, add chopped capsicum, beans, carrots to it and fry for a while. When it is well roasted, add chilli flakes, salt, coriander powder, black pepper powder and fry it for one to two minutes. Now grate the cheese and put it in it. Mix it well with spices and cook for one to two minutes. Add salt also. Now turn off the gas and let the mixture cool down. Add the cottage cheese mixture to the semolina and curd mixture and mix well. If it has become too thick, add some water.

Now heat the pan. Add a little oil to it and pour this solution and spread it well in the pan. Cover it with a lid and cook it well from both the sides on low flame. Tasty and healthy breakfast recipe Paneer Roasty is ready to be served hot. You can serve it with tomato sauce or green chutney.
