Aloo Uttapam Recipe: Everyone wants to eat something different daily in breakfast, but due to going to office there is not enough time to prepare and eat something different and tasty. In such a situation, one should think of making such a breakfast recipe, which is a bit out of the routine and apart from being best in taste, it is also easy to make. One such recipe is Uttapam. You might have eaten onion uttapam often, but you would hardly have ever eaten potato uttapam. Make it once and definitely taste it. You can make these uttapam in very less time and can easily take it to office, college. It is tasty, nutritious as well as healthy. So let’s know the ingredients and method of making Potato Uttapam.

Ingredients for Potato Uttapam
Rice – 1 cup
Onion – 1
Potato – 2
Carrot – 1
Cabbage – 1
Capsicum – 1
Green chili – 2
Ginger – 2 teaspoons
Red chili powder – 1 tsp
Black pepper – 1 tsp
salt – as per taste
water – as needed
oil – for roasting

Potato Uttapam Recipe
Finely chop all the raw vegetables like onion, carrot, capsicum, cabbage, ginger, green chillies. Boil the potatoes and remove the peel. To make Potato Uttapam, wash the rice with water and keep it in water for at least 2-3 hours. Now put rice, boiled potatoes, water, ginger, green chillies in the mixie blender. Blend it well and prepare the solution. Put it in a bowl. Add chopped capsicum, onion, cabbage, carrot to it. Mix it well and then put red chili powder, black pepper powder, salt in this solution. Mix it well. Place a griddle or pan on the gas and put oil in it and let it heat up. Pour a ladleful of batter made from rice and potatoes into it. Spread it well on the griddle. Fry till golden brown from both the sides. Hot potato uttapam is ready, serve it with sauce, sambar, coconut chutney.
