The wedding party of Peer Mohammad Siddiqui, son of late Nazir Ali, a resident of Babusarai in Aurai, had come to Tahir Ali’s place in Nidur Bazar. After refreshments, food was being served to the baraatis. During this time, the women in the baraati started expressing their displeasure over not installing coolers.

The bride’s brother apologized and said that the weather was good today, so he did not arrange for a cooler. Meanwhile, some unruly baraatis started beating the girl’s brother Saddam. When the family members who arrived after hearing the noise saw Saddam being beaten mercilessly, they attacked the youths. Fierce fighting started from both sides and during this, the baraatis ran away.

When the groom also tried to run away, the villagers caught him. The groom, angry with the dispute, started refusing to marry. The villagers informed the police on number 112. The police reached the spot and convinced the family members of the bride and groom to get married. The wedding and farewell ceremony was conducted in the presence of the police.
