Expansion
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is launching its 4G service all over India from August 15. However, the preparations in Aligarh-Hathras are still incomplete. Due to this, the service will be started first in urban areas. After this, consumers will get the facility of 4G in rural areas by October.
BSNL is installing a total of 230 towers in Aligarh-Hathras, out of which work on 78 towers has been completed so far in Aligarh-Hathras. Work on 68 towers was started in the first phase. It was to be completed by June, but this work was completed only by the last week of July. Work on the second phase was to begin from July. That too got delayed.
Initially the work was done at a slow pace, now the speed is being increased. We will launch 4G service in urban areas by 15th August. This work will be completed in many rural areas by October. Customers are continuously joining BSNL in good numbers. We are trying to provide better facilities to the consumers. -Tushar Gupta, Deputy General Manager BSNL, Aligarh.
