BSNL: Ever since India’s private telecom companies i.e. Jio, Airtel and Vodafone-Idea have increased the prices of their prepaid and postpaid recharge plans, millions of customers have started turning towards India’s government telecom company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL).
BSNL benefited
BSNL has also started taking advantage of this opportunity and has started taking all the necessary steps for it. In the last one month, BSNL has added lakhs of new customers and the number of customers porting their numbers to BSNL has also seen a huge increase.
Now BSNL has achieved a special milestone in Karnataka under its 4G saturation project. The company has activated 501 4G sites in this state. This step of BSNL would have proved to be a big step towards reducing the connectivity gap in rural areas.
BSNL has given this information by posting through one of its official social media platforms. Under the 4G saturation project, BSNL aims to provide high speed internet connectivity to every village.
10,000 sites across the country
Let us tell you that this achievement of BSNL reflects their progress under the government’s ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ initiative. The company has already installed 10,000 4G sites across the country. Apart from this, BSNL has also provided free 4G SIM upgrade and free 4GB data to the customers.
This move of BSNL will promote digital revolution in the rural areas of Karnataka. This will help the local people to take advantage of digital services in education, health, agriculture and other areas. BSNL wants to take this campaign to every village in every state of India.
