With the approach of Lok Sabha elections, Bahujan Samaj Party MPs have started changing sides. After BSP MP from Ghazipur Afzal Ansari joined Samajwadi Party, the restlessness of other MPs is also increasing, although he is working on the strategy of leaving BSP only on the guarantee of ticket. This list includes MPs from West to Purvanchal. At present, it is considered certain that three MPs will join other parties, while there is a competition among political parties to woo the rest.
Let it be known that after the meeting of three BSP MPs with the top leadership of BJP and Congress recently, there are speculations that they will change sides as soon as the notification for Lok Sabha elections is issued. These also include a woman MP from Purvanchal district, whose joining BJP is considered certain.
Similarly, a Muslim MP from the West can present his claim as a candidate for the SP-Congress alliance. However, in case there is no alliance, he can change his decision. Another BSP MP from Purvanchal had recently met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and top BJP leaders, after which speculations about his joining BJP had intensified. However, now his inclination is believed to be towards Congress.
Tickets may be announced soon
Considering the possibility of rebellion rising in the party, BSP may also declare its tickets soon. If party sources are to be believed, National Coordinator Akash Anand can also be tried in the elections. There is talk of making him a candidate from Bijnor, which has been rejected by MP Maluk Nagar. Now he can be declared a candidate from any nearby seat.
