Parliament Session 6th Feb 2023: Even today (February 6) the opposition is in a mood to create ruckus in the Parliament on the Adani issue. The Congress party is also going to protest about this today. All the Congress leaders will raise slogans against the central government in front of LIC and SBI offices in all the districts across the country. Earlier, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has called a meeting of leaders of all opposition parties at 9.30 am today.
In fact, on Friday (February 3) due to the huge uproar by the opposition on the Adani issue, the proceedings of Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha were adjourned till 11 am on Monday. Today again the opposition is making a strategy to surround the center. Apart from this, the opposition is also preparing to attack PM Modi and the Center regarding the BBC documentary.
What is the demand of the opposition?
The opposition may again demand an inquiry into the companies of billionaire Gautam Adani. In the floor meeting of the opposition parties, all the opposition parties will chalk out a strategy to surround the government. After this, the opposition MPs will protest in front of the Gandhi statue. Opposition parties demand that the investigation of the Adani case should be under the supervision of the Joint Parliamentary Committee or the Supreme Court.
TMC did not attend the meeting of opposition parties
Earlier, TMC did not participate in the meeting held on Friday. It is not yet decided whether the party will join today or not. The possibility has increased that after the initial disruption, the discussion on the President’s address will start today as TMC has said that it now wants to have a discussion in the Parliament. It was also told from the Congress side that the Parliament will function from Monday.
