Budget 2024: After the formation of the Modi government for the third time at the center, the first budget 2024 will be presented on 23 July. The people of the country have different expectations from the Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman as well as the Modi government. This time the budget is also expected to increase and it is hoped that the Finance Minister will present the budget keeping all sectors in mind.
Nirmala Sitharaman will also create history by presenting the budget for the maximum number of consecutive times, leaving behind Morarji Desai’s record. The third budget of the Modi government is coming amidst such expectations, when the people of the country are hoping whether the Modi government will open the mouth of its treasury to please the middle class suffering from inflation, unemployment and low income? Let’s take a look at what could be the first budget of the third term of the Modi government-
1. The budget will show the road map to make India a developed nation by 2047. The Modi government can make a special announcement on infrastructure and agriculture.
2. In this budget, an announcement is expected regarding Kisan Samman Nidhi and PM Kisan Yojana. This time, an announcement to increase funds for PM Awas Yojana may be made. An increase in the amount given to farmers under PM Kisan Yojana is also possible.
3. It is expected that in this budget, to further promote the new tax regime, the exemption of Rs 3 lakh in the income tax slab can be increased to Rs 5 lakh. There is also hope of increasing the working days of MNREGA.
4. This budget may focus on women, youth, farmers and the poor. The government may continue to focus on capital expenditure. New incentives may be announced to promote EV i.e. electric vehicles.
5. Some big announcements can be made to promote green energy. Along with this, there will be an emphasis on modernization and indigenization in the defense sector. Also, keeping in mind the demands of the allies in the NDA, announcement of financial help and special schemes for Andhra Pradesh and Bihar is also possible.
