The central government has increased the budget of Delhi this time. The financial year 2024-25 is Rs 180 crore more than the budget estimates and Rs 100 crore more than the revised budget. Additional allocation is proposed to provide additional central assistance and capital development scheme for the Chandrawal Water Suppling Plant. The Center has given a total of Rs 1348 crore to the Delhi government in the budget for the financial year 2025-26.

According to budgetary estimates of the financial year 2024-25, it was proposed to give Rs 1168.1 crore to Delhi. At the same time, this amount was reduced to 1248.01 in the revised budget. On the other hand, it is proposed to give Rs 1348.01 crore to Delhi in budgetary estimates of 2025-26. Delhi has been given money in different four items. In this, the Central Government has allocated Rs 2 crore like last year for compensation for Sikh riot affected people. At the same time, a provision of Rs 951 crore has been made to the Delhi government as central assistance.

Rs 15 crore has been received for disaster prevention and management. There has been no increase in these items. This time the budget has increased under the item of additional central assistance and capital development. This time this item has been increased by Rs 180 crore compared to last year’s budgetary estimates. In the financial year 2024-25, Rs 200 crore was given in this item. In the revised budget, it was increased to Rs 280 crore. In this series, a provision of Rs 380 crore has been made in this item for the financial year 2025-26.
