Seeing the fire, the engine driver applied brakes and stopped the goods train at the station. Many people reached near the engine with buckets filled with water and started trying to extinguish the fire. People complained that the station master was seen being negligent during this period. However, due to the promptness of RPF and GRP, the fire could be completely controlled. When the situation was controlled, the track was opened for trains going towards Mokama. Due to the goods train standing on the main down line, the trains were passed through the loop line of the down track located at the railway station. During this period, Down Duronto 22214 and South Bihar Express 13288 remained stuck here for a long time. Various trains of Down were stopped at various stations. Many trains were delayed due to the incident.
