A big fight broke out in the Hiralal Barhasaini Inter College campus of Aligarh city over preventing outside children from playing cricket. The businessman etc. who arrived on getting information about the fight with the children beat up the teacher and also abused and pushed the Principal who came to intervene. The matter escalated and the police also came after getting the news. In this case, a case has been registered by the Principal against the businessman etc. Till late evening, the business side also kept trying to get a case registered from their side. But they were not successful.
It so happened that some children of the city were playing cricket in the HB Inter College ground on the morning of 18th May. Meanwhile, at around 7.30 pm, the proctor, teacher and other staff of the school reached there. The children playing outside were asked to leave saying that now prayers will be held here. It is alleged that when the children said that the match was over, the teacher snatched away their bat and ball. Family members allege that the teacher also beat the children and locked them in the campus. On receiving this information, the children’s family members and businessmen arrived and a dispute started with the college staff. After reaching the principal’s room, businessman Gaurav Harkut, Ayush Maheshwari, Anuj Varshney etc. and four-five unknown others beat up teacher Ravi Babu.
Principal Archana Varshney, who came to intervene, was also pushed and scuffled. In defence, the teacher also resorted to violence. The video of this incident also went viral on social media. Police also reached the news. Later the Principal filed a case against businessman Gaurav Harkut, Ayush, Anuj Varshney and four-five unknown people in Gandhi Park. According to CO II Rakesh Sisodia, a case has been registered in the matter. Investigation and action is being taken on the basis of remaining facts like CCTV etc.
The teacher was abused for refusing to allow outside children playing in the college. Later his family members came and beat him up. A case was registered in this matter. Besides, higher officials have also been informed about this incident. Here the college management committee is threatening us with adverse action. Have backed away from our cooperation.
