By what rules was Ram Rajya governed and what were the laws like at that time?

It is said that everything was very good in Shri Ram’s kingdom, at that time neither anyone fell ill nor anyone had any problem. At that time the rain also happened as per the wishes of the people. The weather was also favorable for the people. At that time it was neither too cold nor too hot. It is also said that at that time everyone was very happy, but do you know where the treasury came from to run the state during the time of Ram. If not, then let us know what was the system of tax collection at that time and what were the rules and regulations of that time.

How was the system of tax collection in Ram Rajya?
People were quite prosperous in Ram Rajya. At that time this was given maximum attention. For the expansion of the border and the happiness and prosperity of the people, Ram had also organized Ashwamedha Yagya. At that time, there was sufficient quantity of food grains for the people. The biggest reason for this was the rules for collecting taxes from people.

Yes, in Ram Rajya, tax was collected according to two rules. Tulsidas has written in Ramcharit Manas, "Gems and rubies became expensive, simple grass, water and pride. Tulsi Soi Know Ram Garib Nawaz" That is, jewelery should be made expensive so that people are not able to buy it easily and water and grains can be made easily available.

Tulsidas also wrote this, "Everyone writes the rain, no one writes the rain, Tulsi’s people are blessed with good fortune, Bhup Bhanu is happy." That is, the tax should be taken only so much that it does not affect the common people and they do not get troubled. Also, the people should know what that tax is being used for.

How was the law in Ram Rajya?
If we talk about law in Ram Rajya, at that time the governance system was made in such a way that it was kept person-centric. Apart from this, an assembly was formed in the state to advise the king. This meeting was mainly attended by the General Secretary, the Commander-in-Chief and the Rajguru. If a decision was being reached in any matter, its final decision was taken by the assembly itself.

However, except for one or two crimes, there is no mention of any crime in Ram Rajya.
