CAA To get citizenship under this, it is necessary to prove how long he has been living in India. After the implementation of CAA, no new identity card will be made for those coming from other countries. Under this, people who get citizenship will be provided Citizenship Certificate of India. This certificate will be the proof of their citizenship in India.
Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) will be notifying today, the Rules under the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019 (CAA-2019). These rules, called the Citizenship (Amendment) Rules, 2024 will enable the persons eligible under CAA-2019 to apply for grant of Indian citizenship. (1/2)
