For this, the Central Government has issued a notification regarding the Citizenship Amendment Act on Monday evening. On this portal, people from non-Muslim migrant community can apply for citizenship. Today we will tell you which community will be affected the most after the implementation of CAA.

Let us tell you that the Citizenship Amendment Act was passed in December 2019. After this it was also approved by the President. Although it was not implemented at that time. There were speculations that Lok Sabha ElectionsBefore it can be implemented. After which, today i.e. on Monday evening, the Government of India has issued a notification regarding the Citizenship Amendment Act i.e. CAA and has implemented this Act in India.

Minorities will get citizenship

According to the Citizenship Amendment Act implemented by the Government of India, the minorities of three Muslim countries Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Pakistan will be given Indian citizenship. This citizenship will be available only to those people who have come to India till 31 December 2014. According to the rules of CAA, 6 non-Muslim communities which include Hindu, Sikh, Christian, Jain, Buddhist and Parsi. Only those people will be given Indian citizenship. In simple language, if any Muslim has come to India from these three countries on or before December 31, 2014, then he will have to follow the complete process to get Indian citizenship. He will not be given citizenship under CAA.

Which community will be affected

After the implementation of CAA, there will be no impact on any person living in India. But the people of Muslim community from India’s three Muslim countries Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Pakistan who have entered India will not get citizenship through CAA. To get citizenship they will have to follow all the rules of the Citizenship Act of India. The Indian government argues that these three countries are Islamic countries, only people from non-Muslim community coming to India from here will be given citizenship.
