Citizenship Amendment Act i.e. CAA has been implemented in the country. The central government has announced this on Monday evening. A portal has also been prepared for this. Through which application can be made to get citizenship. All the formalities for this have been completed by the Union Home Ministry. A notification regarding its release has been given by the government on Monday (11 March). Who can get citizenship after implementation of CAA?
Union Home Minister Amit Shah It has already been said that after the implementation of the rules of ‘Citizenship Amendment Act’ Lok Sabha Elections Before the implementation of the Model Code of Conduct, the way for people from six non-Muslim migrant communities from three countries to get Indian citizenship will be paved.
Let us tell you that through CAA, it will be easier for minorities belonging to Hindu, Sikh, Jain, Buddhist, Parsi and Christian communities from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan to get Indian citizenship.
Will have to apply online
After the implementation of CAA, applications will be invited through online portal under its rules. The work of this process has been completed. Under the rules of CAA, the rules for obtaining Indian citizenship will become easier for non-Muslim immigrants from India’s three Muslim neighboring countries Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.
In which Hindu, Christian, Sikh, Jain, Buddhist and Parsi people can easily get citizenship by applying. Let us tell you that the Citizenship Amendment Bill was passed by the Parliament on December 11, 2019. This bill got the assent of the President just a day later. CAA itself does not grant citizenship to a person, rather it enables an eligible person to apply.
