OTT platform has now become the new destination for Bollywood stars. Slowly, celebs are now turning their attention towards OTT. Ananya Pandey’s name has also been added to this list. Ananya’s first web series ‘Call Me Bae’ has been released on Amazon Prime Video today. By the way, Ananya’s OTT debut could have been better than this. There is no doubt that she is a great actress, but the series lacks strength. Watching 8 episodes of this series is a challenge in itself.
In the series, Ananya Pandey is seen in the role of ‘Bela Choudhary’, Vir Das ‘Satyajit’, Gurfateh Pirzada ‘Neil’, Varun Sood ‘Prince’ and Vihaan Samat ‘Agastya’. The story is about a girl who never gets stressed about anything. She loves everything. Bela Choudhary aka Bey gets married into a rich businessman family, but she is not happy with this because her husband Agastya is not able to give her time. She finds herself lonely.
Then one day Bey meets Prince, who is her gym trainer. She gets attracted to him. One day Agastya catches them together and then he throws Bey out of the house. In one stroke Bey becomes poor from rich. She also goes to her home, but no one wants to keep her there either. She hoped that her brother would definitely support her, but she is proved wrong. Her brother also supports her husband.
Tired of all this, Be goes to Mumbai and starts looking for a job there. Be is social media friendly and has many followers. Actually, Be has a quality, she knows very well what kind of hashtags should be used in the post. Because of this, she is able to reach more people on social media. Satyajit is a famous reporter of a TRP news channel, whose show Be makes fun of while drunk and her friend posts the video of it on social media. This video goes viral. Meanwhile, Be meets Neil, a reporter working in the same news channel.
Neil calls Bea to his office. Bea thinks she is being called to the office in connection with the Satyajit case. She is very scared, but when she reaches the office to meet Neil, Neil hires her because Neil had understood Bea’s talent very well. You may like Ananya’s bubbly style in the series. Overall, you can definitely watch this series once. 3 stars for this series from me.
