A big update has come out in the Atul Subhash suicide case. The City Civil Court of Bengaluru has granted bail to all the accused in the case including Atul Subhash’s wife Nikita Singhania, his mother Nisha Singhania and brother Anurag Singhania. Nikita Sanghania was arrested by the police from Gurugram. At the same time, Nisha Singhania and her brother Anurag were arrested from Prayagraj. These three are accused of inciting Atul Subhash to commit suicide.
Now the question is whether Atul Subhash’s accused wife Nikita Singhania can continue her job again after getting bail? Actually, in such cases the accused remains suspended until the court honorably acquits the accused. However, this rule is for government jobs. Whereas Nikita Singhania used to do a private job.
Nikita Singhania used to earn more than Atul
Media reports have claimed that Nikita Singhania earns more than her husband Atul Subhash. His annual salary is in lakhs. A report says that before this case, Nikita Singhania used to work as an AI engineer in Accenture India. If we look at the salary structure of the company, the average salary here is Rs 11 lakh, whereas an AI engineer gets Rs 16 lakh annually. In such a situation, it can be estimated that Nikita Singhania, who worked as an AI engineer, used to take a huge salary.
What are the rules?
Now coming to the real issue. According to the rules, whenever a police case is registered against a government servant, he is suspended or terminated. In case of suspension, the service of the accused is temporarily terminated, whereas in termination, the service is terminated permanently. However, a limit has been set for this. If an FIR is lodged in those crimes in which there is a provision of imprisonment for more than 3 years, the government servant is suspended. Unless a person is acquitted in the case, he is not taken into service. If in any case the court has imposed a fine of even Rs 100 and the person has accepted the fine, still the person cannot remain in government service.
What are the rules in private job?
These rules are for government jobs. However, there is no separate rule for private jobs. It depends on the companies whether they resume the services of the person or not. In many big companies, before hiring any person, background verification is done, in which information about the cases pending against the person is sought. At the same time, companies also set rules for the matters after the joining of the person. In such a situation, the accused person can work only as per the rules of the company.
