Can EV car be charged from domestic connection?
Anyone can charge their personal EV car from a domestic connection if they wish. But only personal EV car can be charged on domestic connection. You may be fined for charging a commercial EV car. But before charging the EV car, you will have to make complete arrangements for it. That means you need a heavy socket for that.

Because if you charge from a light socket then there is a risk of the socket getting damaged. And charging will not be done properly. Normally an EV car takes 6-12 hours to charge. If you go to the charging station and get your EV car charged. So for this you may have to pay an average of Rs 2 to Rs 9. Whereas if you charge the EV car on domestic connection. So you can charge a fixed rate. The price of a power unit is different in different states. In Uttar Pradesh, one has to pay Rs 6.50 for one unit. Normally it takes 8 hours to fully charge an EV car. It consumes approximately 30 units of electricity. However, if the battery is big then it may take more time.
