It has been told that cancer cases have been continuously increasing in the country for the last three years. The Health Ministry gave this information in response to a question in Parliament. According to the information, during the Question Hour in Parliament, information was sought regarding cancer cases in the country. In response to this, the Health Ministry released the data of the last three years. It was told that during the year 2021, 14,26,447 cases of cancer were registered across the country. At the same time, cancer cases increased by 35,000 in the year 2022, due to which the number of cancer patients increased to 14,61,427. Apart from this, cancer patients also increased by 35,000 during 2023. If seen accordingly, from 2021 to 2023, cancer patients in the country have increased by 70 thousand.
This reason given for increase in cases
While quoting the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the Health Ministry said that the reason for the increase in the number of patients is due to many factors like more testing than before, better testing facilities, new technology and awareness among the people.

Let us tell you that a question was also asked in the Parliament on the increasing cases of heart attacks. In response to this, no data was given by the Health Ministry. However, it was definitely told that an increase in heart attack cases has been recorded as compared to earlier. During this period, the causes of heart attack were said to be alcohol smoking, less movement of people, eating more salt and sugar and eating more fried things.
