Captain Reena Varghese started as a new pilot in 2009, when Naxalites shot down a helicopter. In which senior police and polling officials were being taken. Today, after 15 years, Reena, showing her courage, has played an important role in taking the injured commandos to a safe place.

Recently, during an eight-hour operation, Reena and her team flew their helicopter 100 km into Naxalite territory to rescue an injured C-60 commando. He jumped from the helicopter without any worry and helped his fellow commandos. C-60 commando Kundo Atram who was seriously injured in this operation. He told that till now I have killed thirty nine (39) Naxalites. Narrating the story of his bravery, he said that he is ready to fight again.

Graduation in Aeronautical Engineering

According to reports, Reena Varghese faced the challenge with her experience. He took the injured commando to Gadchiroli within 30 minutes. After this he was admitted to a hospital in Nagpur. Varghese has done B.Tech in Aeronautical Engineering before training to become a pilot.

This is a required course

Becoming a brave pilot like Captain Reena Varghese requires special training and qualifications. To become a helicopter pilot, you should have good marks in 10+2 Science (Physics and Mathematics). After 12th, you will have to take a degree in Aeronautical Engineering or any other related field. After this you need to get a pilot license.

You choose flight training institute and take training from a recognized institute. Get private pilot license and training. After this you can train for Commercial Pilot License (CPL). Approximately 200-250 hours of flying experience is required. This includes simulator and actual flight. One must have knowledge of these subjects to face various situations during flight. Pilots are required to pass a health test, which examines vision, hearing and general health.
