Now on the orders of the court, a case has been registered against the gang member of Bihar under the IT Act.
Yatendra Aggarwal, resident of Ramnagar, Etmaddaula, said that he is an accountant in a private hospital. On the evening of 19 May 2023, his Paytm account was hacked. Within a short time, hackers from Samastipur, Bihar recharged first Rs 60 thousand and then Rs 5 thousand. On getting information about this, he immediately informed Paytm Bank. The bank asked him to give information to the concerned police station.
When he informed the Etmaddaula police station, they asked him to go to the cyber cell. When he reached the cyber cell, he forwarded the application form from the police station and asked him to bring it. They were given a receipt from the police station that their complaint has been registered, but after this the hackers could not be traced till date. His Paytm account has also not been activated since the FIR has not been registered. After this he submitted an application in the court. On the orders of the court, the police have registered a case against the hackers of Bihar on 11 February.
Cyber help desks set up in police stations show off
In view of the increasing cyber crime, cyber help desks were established in every police station, but these desks have become a mere sham. The victims are advised to go to the cyber cell and are sent away. The victims keep running from the police station to the cyber cell but no hearing takes place. Many times victims are advised to be patient. Hackers may also be foreigners, it is not possible to catch them. This is why cyber frauds are increasing rapidly. Recently, a gang committing cyber crime was caught in the ravines of Bah in Agra.
