The criminals caught by the STF have been identified as Pankaj Kumar of Naura Colony of Khagul police station in Patna, Bihar, Premchand Verma of Bhagwatipur of Bihta police station, Vinay Kumar of Janipur and Vilendar Pasi of Usri Bazar of Shahpur Danapur police station. Vilendar Pasi is a railway trackman. He is said to be the kingpin of the liquor smuggling gang.
A government 9 mm pistol, seven cartridges, the purse of a dead RPF jawan and a car have been recovered from the arrested miscreants. The police is looking for nine other miscreants of the liquor smuggling gang in this case. According to the police, when the jawans were thrown out of the train, its speed was 100 km per hour.
On the morning of August 20, the bodies of the RPF jawans were found naked and semi-naked at a distance of 200 meters on the down line near Devkali village in the Gahmar police station area of Ghazipur district.
The two jawans were identified as Mohammad Javed of Devaidha village of Dildarnagar police station area and Pramod Kumar, a resident of Karp in Ara district of Bihar. UP STF also became active after getting information about the incident.
