A case has been registered in Achhnera police station against independent candidate Rameshwar Chaudhary from Fatehpur Sikri Lok Sabha seat in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. A video had gone viral on social media, in which the candidate’s mark in the EVM was shown pressing the button in front of the cot. Along with the song it was written that ‘Jeetegi Charpai, Jeetega Fatehpur Sikri’. On receiving this information, the Inspector of the Flying Squad team filed a complaint. Accused of violating the secrecy of voting.

DCP Western Zone Sonam Kumar said that Rameshwar Singh is a candidate from Fatehpur Sikri Lok Sabha seat. Voting was on Tuesday. Mobile phones were banned in the polling booth. Police was checking for this.

A video went viral in the afternoon. In this video, the candidate is being shown pressing a button in front of the election symbol. Along with this, there is also a photo of the slip from the VVPAT machine. Music is also playing in the background so that you can change your lines with your hands.

This is a violation of privacy. FST Magistrate Arvind Kumar came to know about this. He gave instructions for action. Team inspector Krishnagopal lodged a complaint at Achhnera police station. A case has been registered in the matter under Section 128 of the Representation of the People Act. The matter will be investigated and action will be taken.
