Mumbai: Randeep Hooda has not appeared in any film for a long time. Now Randeep’s most awaited web series ‘Cat’ has been released today on 9th December on OTT platform Netflix. This series is based on the story of drug smuggling and crime in Punjab. Randeep is seen in the role of undercover police agent Gurnam Singh in this web series. Directed by Balwinder Singh Janjua, in this series, apart from Nirandeep, Suvinder Vicky, Manish Gulati, Hasleen Kaur, Geeta Aggarwal, Daksh Ajit Singh, Sukhwinder Chahal, K.P. Singh, Kavya Thapar, Danish Sood and Pramod Pathal are seen in important roles.

Story of ‘Kat’
After all, what is it about Randeep’s series that makes it so interesting, intriguing and romantic? Randeep Hooda is seen in the strong character of Gurnam Singh in ‘Cat’. In the series, Gurnam Singh’s (Randeep Hooda) brother gets badly trapped in drug smuggling. Gurnam Singh tries a lot to get his brother out of this quagmire and makes every effort to get him out of this trouble. To get his brother out of police custody, Gurnam Singh starts working as an informer for the police and gives every information related to drugs to the police. In the series, every person will relate to Gurnam Singh’s struggle to save his brother, whose own people are badly trapped in the quagmire of this addiction.

The natural acting done by Randeep Hooda in the character of Gurnam Singh, the way he did justice to his character is commendable. Randeep’s character in the series will win your heart. If we talk about Randeep’s Sardar’s look in ‘Cat’, then Randeep’s look and acting is quite impressive. In Sardar’s look, Randeep is also looking great in terms of stature. Even with this character, Randeep proved that there is no dearth of acting talent in him. Hasleen Kaur (Babita) in the role of a Punjab police officer has also played her role very well. The rest of the characters in the series include Suvinder Vicky, Manish Gulati, Geeta Agarwal, Daksh Ajit Singh, Sukhwinder Chahal, K.P. Singh, Kavya Thapar, Danish Sood and Pramod Pathal have also done a decent job.

Forgetting the merits or demerits of the characters in the film, people first question the direction. But if we talk about Randeep Hooda’s series ‘Cat’, then this series made under the direction of Balwinder Singh Janjua will be able to entertain you in every way. A very serious subject has been chosen for the series. Although before this we have also seen Shahid’s film ‘Udta Punjab’ on Punjab drugs. But ‘Cat’ seems to be expanding the canvas of Udta Punjab. The setup of Punjab has been shown very well in the series. Since the original language of the series is Punjabi. It would not be wrong to say that Balwinder Singh Janjua has handled the direction of ‘Cat’ very well. The series has been well focused from beginning to end.

The song ‘Sidhe Saade Jatt Nu’ from Randeep’s web series ‘Cat’ is being liked a lot. The background music that comes on the atmosphere of the story in the series also fits very well. The voice of ‘Sidhe Saade Jatt Nu’ is given by Jaaz Dhami and the music of the song is given by V Rax Music. CA Rudra has written the song ‘Sidhe Sadhe Jatt Nu’.
