Under this scheme, enrollment of girls in engineering and technical institutions is being promoted. Under this scheme, thousands of girls are given free assistance to enter engineering colleges. Study material is made available to them through online portal in which studies are also taught through videos. Also, under this scheme, virtual classes are held at 60 centers across India. In this, girls are also given financial assistance to buy tablets. Also, any problems that arise during studies are resolved.
Which can?
To avail the benefits of this scheme, girls will have to fulfill some criteria like studying in class 11th in Navodaya School, Central School or any government school of the state center or any private school affiliated with CBSE. Along with this, it is mandatory to have at least 70% marks in class 10th and 80% marks in Science and Math subjects. To avail the benefit of this scheme, the family income of any girl should not be more than Rs. 6 lakhs.
How to apply
To avail the benefits of CBSE UDAN Scheme, you will have to register by visiting the official website of CBSE and go to the UDAN Scheme page. Before registration, fill the application form after reading all the rules carefully. After filling the form, you will see a registration number on the portal. Which will also come on your registered email ID and phone number. The person applying for this scheme should have Aadhaar card, original address proof, annual income certificate of parents or guardian, class 10th and 11th marksheet, cast certificate if necessary and bank account details.
