About 2.5 crore passengers travel in Indian Railways every day. Indian Railways is the fourth largest rail network in the world. A lot of changes have been seen in it in the last few years. Indian Railways has made many positive changes in trains and stations. The new year is about to come and even before this new year, the central government has announced a big facility for the disabled people. The Government of India has given guidelines for a new draft for the convenience of disabled people in Railways. In this, work has been done to make rail travel convenient and easy for disabled people.

Disabled people will benefit

Even before the New Year, the Central Government has issued guidelines for a new draft for the convenience of disabled people in Indian Railways. The government has prepared a draft to add new rules for convenient travel in trains for disabled people. Which will be implemented after adding it to the railway rules. For this, currently the Public Department – People with Disabilities (PwDs) has sought feedback from other people and offices associated with this draft till January 29. The Railway Board has prepared detailed guidelines for this, in which all the facilities have been mentioned to facilitate the travel of disabled passengers. The Railway Board has also decided to create a separate website for this in which all the facilities will be available for the disabled people.

Other facilities including ticket counter will be separate

Presently where a disabled passenger has to go to get a ticket. So he used to buy tickets from that ticket counter. Where ordinary passengers buy tickets. But under the new guidelines of the Railway Board, arrangements will also be made to set up a separate ticket counter for disabled passengers. Whose name will be Divyangjan Sahayak. Along with this, the website that will be created will also have arrangements for catering for them. A mobile app will also be prepared. A text to speak facility will also be made available at the stations. Audio will be heard by typing and text can also be written. Along with this, digital display will be installed in which sign language options will also be given.
