Chaitra Navratri Puja: The festival of Navratri is celebrated with great pomp in India. The festival of Navratri comes four times a year. Apart from Chaitra and Sharadiya Navratri, two Gupt Navratri also fall throughout the year. In this, Chaitra Navratri is considered very important.

- During Chaitra Navratri, devotees observe fast to please Goddess Durga and worship her with full devotion. These days it is considered important to follow some rules. Before Navratri starts, clean the entire house thoroughly. There should be no filth in the house during Navratri.
- Special care is also taken of physical hygiene during the days of Chaitra Navratri. Cutting hair and nails is considered prohibited during this period. You should do all the work related to cleaning before the start of Navratri.
- Collect the necessary materials for worship of Mata Rani. On the first day of Chaitra Navratri, one should wake up early in the morning and take bath. After this, one should wear clean clothes and install the Kalash in the house.
- During the fast, one should not prepare Tamasic food at all at home. The atmosphere of the house should be calm, virtuous and positive. One should eat only fruits during the fast.
- During Chaitra Navratri, the place where the sacred Kalash is established and where the Akhand Jyoti is lit, that place should never be left empty. One should do bhajan kirtan while sitting at a place where the Akhand lamp is lit.
- One should avoid sleeping during the day during Chaitra Navratri. Goddess should be worshiped the whole day during Navratri. Donation should be made to the poor and needy during Navratri. With this, Goddess Durga becomes happy and showers her blessings on the devotees.
