In the eighth verse of the second chapter of Chanakya Niti, it is said – Foolishness is a pain and youth is also a pain.
Chanakya says through this shloka that being a fool is the biggest pain in life. This is because a fool does not know what is right and what is wrong for him. Due to this foolishness, he is deprived of the pleasures of life. Therefore, the youth should stay away from such people.
Along with stupidity, Chanakya also considers youth as the cause of sorrow. Chanakya says that youth also makes a person unhappy. Because at this age, a person’s desires are strong and when they are not fulfilled due to some reason, the person becomes disappointed and loses his wisdom.
