ITI student Anamika Srivastava, resident of Mohalla Masoom Ali, Gunnaur, committed suicide by hanging herself from a fan in her room on Sunday morning. The police have taken the body into their custody and sent it for post-mortem. The family members have denied any kind of domestic dispute.
Anamika Srivastava, a resident of Mohalla Masoom Ali of Gunnaur, had taken admission in the Industrial Training Institute located at Alapur in Badaun only two months ago. These days she was at home. On Sunday morning the student’s mother was searching for her slippers.
Meanwhile, she reached near the student’s room and peeped through the window and screamed. Anamika was hanging on a noose tied to the fan, a scarf was tied around her neck. There were boxes on the bed and the room was locked from inside. Hearing the scream, the neighbors gathered.
With the help of people, the family members broke the doorknob and brought down the body. Police reached the spot, collected information and sent the body for post-mortem. Family members say that everything was fine and there was no domestic dispute of any kind.
