Charge Sheet Filed In Lakhimpur Violence Case, Charges Framed Against 13 Including Ashish Mishra


Lakhimpur violence case: Charges were framed against 14 accused, including Ashish Mishra, in the Lakhimpur Kheri court on Tuesday in connection with the violence in Lakhimpur Kheri’s Tikonia. Ashish Mishra is the son of Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Ajay Mishra Teni. District Government Advocate Arvind Tripathi told PTI that charges were framed against 14 accused including Ashish Mishra in the Tikonia case in the court of Additional District Judge Sunil Kumar Verma.

Tripathi said that the accused on whom charges were framed include Ashish Mishra as well as Ankit Das, Nandan Singh Bisht, Latif Kale, Satyam alias Satya Prakash Tripathi, Shekhar Bharti, Sumit Jaiswal, Ashish Pandey, Lavkush Rana, Shishupal, Ullas Kumar alias Mohit Trivedi, Rinku Rana, Virendra Shukla and Dharmendra Banjara are included.

He told that charges have been framed against Virendra Shukla under section 201 of the Indian Penal Code. Charges were framed on the rest of the accused under sections 147, 148, 149, 302, 307, 326, 427 and 120 (b) of the Indian Penal Code and section 177 of the Motor Vehicles Act. Tripathi said that apart from this, charges have also been framed against Ashish Mishra, Ankit Das, Nandan Singh Bisht, Satya Prakash Tripathi, Latif Kale and Sumit Jaiswal under the Arms Act.

He told that the court has asked the prosecution to present the evidence in the court on December 16. It is worth mentioning that on October 3, 2021, eight people including four farmers were killed in the violence during the demonstration of farmers in Tikonia village of Nighasan area. In this case, Ashish Mishra, son of Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Ajay Mishra Teni, has been made the main accused.
