Chhabi Minya had won this election. The Congress candidate was defeated. After this, no Congress candidate could ever win from this seat. When Ch. Charan Singh formed a party in the name of Bharatiya Kranti Dal, at that time he came to village Manikpur of Sahpau in 1972 to spread his party.
