36 young men and women were cheated on the pretext of jobs in Agra Municipal Corporation. The middleman took the money and gave it to the contractor. Now the victims are wandering. A case has been registered in the Jagdishpura police station. Police say that action will be taken after collecting evidence.
Deepnagar, Phase II resident Amit Sharma told the police that he had met Lalit Pratap Singh alias Sonu, a resident of Firozabad, through an acquaintance. Sonu called himself a contractor in the Municipal Corporation. It is said that he gets unemployed youths and women employed. On 30 November 2022, he asked to get a job for a girl. Told the cost of 35 to 40 thousand rupees. After this, many more young men and women were tricked by giving assurances of getting them jobs.
7.30 lakh was given
He gave away educational certificates and Rs 7.30 lakh to 36 boys and girls. Of these, 20 jobs were assured to be hired on contract and 16 on clerk’s contract. Talked about appointment till February 2, 2023. However, this did not happen. When he questioned Sonu about this, he did not give any answer. On asking for the money back, Lalit started reluctant. On 23rd March refused to give money over phone. The young men and women from whom money was taken, they were also instigated by calling them. He lied that the money has not reached him. Now everyone is circling his house.

police complaint
The victim lodged a complaint at Jagdishpura police station. A case has been registered against two including Lalit Pratap Singh in the matter. Inspector-in-charge of Jagdishpura police station Devendra Shankar Pandey said that a case has been registered under cheating, breach of trust, threatening to kill and criminal conspiracy. Action will be taken after collecting evidence.
