Chennai Police Secured 8 Suspects So Far On Murder Tamil Nadu BSP President Armstrong


TN BSP chief murder: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) president Armstrong was murdered in his house on Friday (5 June) in Tamil Nadu. He was murdered by 6 bike riders at his residence in Perambur.

The police are currently searching for the accused. Meanwhile, Additional Police Commissioner of Chennai North Asra Garg informed that so far 8 suspects have been detained in this case.

Additional Police Commissioner gave information

On the murder of Tamil Nadu BSP President Armstrong, Additional Commissioner of Police, Chennai North, Asra Garg said, “We have detained 8 suspects so far in the murder case. This is a preliminary investigation. We have formed ten teams. We are working to bring the culprits to justice. After interrogating these suspects, we will be able to find out the motive behind the murder. Some sharp weapons have been used.”

Earlier, Chennai Police had given information and said, ’10 special teams have been formed under the leadership of Asra Garg IPS, Additional COP (North) to investigate the murder of Tamil Nadu BSP President Armstrong.’

The attackers attacked the house

Giving information about the murder, the local police said, ‘This incident happened around 7:30 pm on Friday evening, when Armstrong was going to his house. Then the attackers attacked him. He was immediately taken to a private hospital on Greams Road, where the doctors declared him dead.’

Mayawati had expressed grief

Expressing grief over the murder of the BSP president of Tamil Nadu, party supremo Mayawati wrote on social media, ‘The brutal murder of BSP Tamil Nadu State Unit President K. Armstrong outside his Chennai residence this evening is extremely sad and highly condemnable. Armstrong, a lawyer by profession, was known as a strong voice of Dalits in the state. The government should take strict action against the culprits immediately.’
