Chhath, the biggest festival of Bihar and Purvanchal, will start from November 5. This festival, which lasts for four days, is starting with Nahay-Khay. After Diwali, now the splendor of Chhath preparations is visible in the city. A large number of people celebrate Chhath in Aligarh also. Therefore, artificial ghats have started being built in Tikaram Temple and Badarbagh Colony.
A grand event will be held at Tikaram Temple and Badarbagh Colony. Raju Pandit of Tikaram temple told that a temporary pond is being constructed to offer Arghya. Where Vriti will offer Arghya to the setting and rising Sun God. In Badarwag Colony, the splendor of Chhath festival is visible. The pond is beautifully decorated here. Apart from this, Chhath Mahaparva is also celebrated at places like Kuldeep Bihar, Quarsi, Sarsaul, Sasnigate etc. in the city. The enthusiasm for the festival is being seen among the people of Bihar and Eastern Uttar Pradesh living in the metropolis. Women have started preparing for it. This festival is the festival of worship of Sun God and Chhathi Mata.
This is how the four-day festival will take place
People of Bhojpuri society have started preparing for Chhath festival. This fast is starting with Nahay Khae on 5th November. On this day, fasting women will take gram dal, bottle gourd and rice as prasad. Kharna will be held on the second day on 6th November. On this day, prasad of jaggery kheer and roti will be accepted. With this, 36 continuous hours of waterless fast will begin. On 7th November, Arghya will be offered to the setting Sun God and on 8th November, Arghya will be offered to the rising Sun God. With this the fast will be completed. Thekua Prasad is especially made for the fast.
