How To Make Chhath Special Thekua recipe: The festive season has arrived. Diwali is about to come and after 6 days, Mahaparva Chhath will be organized. On this folk festival of Purvanchal, Sun God and Chhathi Maiya are worshipped. After the conclusion of this four-day Chhath Puja, Prasad is distributed, in which along with fruits, especially Thekua is distributed. Ingredients for making Thekua-
Coarse wheat flour – 1/2 kg
Fresh jaggery – 250 grams
Coconut – 2 teaspoons grated
Fennel – 1 teaspoon
Green cardamom – 3 to 4 crushed
Desi ghee – for frying and adding moin

How to make Thekua,
First of all, take a new clean vessel and put jaggery in it. Now add water to melt the jaggery and leave it to dissolve. It will dissolve well in water in about 1 hour. If you have less time, then heat it by placing it on the gas so that it dissolves quickly.

Now sift wheat flour in a vessel and add grated coconut, two spoons of desi ghee and fennel and mix well with palm. Gradually the color of the flour will become yellowish. When all the ingredients are mixed well in the flour, then slowly add jaggery water to it and knead the dough by adding it little by little. Let us tell you that thekua flour is slightly hard. First cut all the dough into balls and cover it with a towel. Now take one ball each and place it between both the palms and press it on the mold and prepare thekua. In this way, prepare the shape of Thekua from all the balls.

Now take a clean pan and add desi ghee in it and turn on the gas. Heat ghee on medium flame and when the ghee becomes completely melty hot, reduce the flame. Now carefully add thekua as per the capacity of 4 to 5 pans and deep fry it.

Thekua is always strained on low flame. When their color starts turning dark brown from both the sides, carefully take them out on a plate. Fry all the thekus in this manner. Your Chhath Puja thekua is ready.
