Chhatrapati Sabhajinagar: Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar Police has arrested two people who were running a ‘family business’ of car theft. This family had formed a car theft gang which included a man and his three sons. At present, the police have arrested the father and a son on Saturday. Surprising information has come to light during police interrogation.

Father and son together would steal the car and then park it in the hospital parking lot so that it would not be noticed by anyone. More than 50 cases are registered against this gang across the state and they alone have stolen 9 vehicles from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The father-son duo has been identified as Sheikh Dawood (58) and Arbaaz (19). Arbaaz is the youngest son of Dawood. Apart from his family members, one of his associates from Punjab was also involved in this crime of theft.

Used to enter the hospital posing as relatives of patients
According to the report of Times of India, SI Praveen Wagh of Crime Branch said that the information had come to light that after every theft, he used to park the car in the hospital. They used to pose as relatives of patients and park their cars in the hospital premises. After waiting for two-three days, they would take the car away to either South India or North India and then dump it.

Used to steal car within 2 minutes of breaking security alarm
It is being told that he along with his partner used to disable the security alarm of the car. After disabling the security alarm, they used to steal the car within two-four minutes. These people have stolen cars from almost all the big cities of Maharashtra. Despite the faces of these thieves being visible in the CCTV cameras, it was difficult to catch them. The last car that these people stole was worth Rs 20 lakh.
