There were so many tourists at the peak that everyone could not fit on top. Those going up were not able to come down and those going down were not able to go up. To fix this, people were stopped from going up, and only when the people at the top came down, the crowd dispersed.
Management admitted that they made a mistake
The surprising thing is that any person attempting this climb, who is feeling scared, can come down at any time with the help of a professional. But a fee has to be paid for rescue, due to which many people thought it better to save money and hang on. The management told that the fee for rescue has been imposed because many people had started doing this, that they used to go up some distance for fun, and then resort to rescue to come down. He didn’t even go all the way up. The management said that they had misjudged the number of people who were interested in climbing the mountain. Apart from this, lack of better traffic control system and absence of ticket reservation system were the reasons for this hindrance.
