Why are books and pens worshiped on Chitragupta Puja? (Chitragupta Puja Method)
On this day, pen and book must be worshiped as a form of worship of Lord Chitragupta, because Lord Chitragupta writes the account of a person’s deeds. In such a situation, remember Shri Chitragupta by worshiping the pen with Panchopachar method and with folded hands pray to him to receive that pen as a blessing.
It is believed that the pen worshiped in this way becomes effective. According to religious beliefs, what is written with that pen becomes perfect i.e. one gets divine help.
In the book in which you worshiped on the night of Diwali, write the Swastika symbol with this pen, write Shri Ganeshaya Namah and salute Shri Ganesha with Siddhi Buddhi and then use that pen.
On the day of Diwali, the account books are changed and today work is started on those new account books.
