In Chitrakoot district, on suspicion of illicit relationship, the husband killed his wife by stabbing her with a knife in the room. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and arrested the accused husband along with the knife. The SP and CO reached the spot and investigated. Pradosh Patel of Sapaha village in the Bahilpurwa police station area has been living with his wife Kushbala (28) and daughter in a rented room near the Lainababa temple in Shivrampur town of Kotwali Karvi for about 10 years.
Earlier he used to work as a mobile maker. For two years he has stopped the mobile business and runs a Jan Seva Kendra. On Saturday night after his only daughter went to sleep, he stabbed his wife to death with a knife. It is being said that on seeing his wife talking on mobile with a neighbour, he first beat her. After that he killed her with a knife. When the neighbours got suspicious on hearing the woman screaming, they informed UP-112 police. When the police arrived, Pradosh locked the door from inside. The police opened the door by pushing.
