Thandai is a great option to drink in summers. Thandai becomes a healthy drink with the goodness of saffron, dry fruits, gulkand and milk. However, sometimes children do not like thandai, for this you can make chocolate thandai and make them drink it. In this too, it is prepared using spices on the lines of classic thandai. Give this Thandai to children in summer instead of cold drinks, so that there is no negative impact on their health.
Ingredients for Chocolate Thandai
1 teaspoon black pepper
2 tbsp dry rose petals
1/2 cup almonds
2 tbsp fennel seeds
3 tbsp cashews
1/4 tsp saffron
2 tbsp Castor sugar
2 tbsp poppy seeds
9 pieces green cardamom
1 cup soaked agar
1/4 cup Cadbury cocoa powder
1 Cadbury Dairy Milk Silk
1/4 cup whipped cream
1 1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup fresh cream
How to make Chocolate Thandai?
1. Dry roast almonds, cashews, black pepper, fennel and cardamom for a few minutes.
2. Add poppy seeds, dry rose petals, saffron. Dry roast them until fragrant.
3. Cool them and grind them to make powder. Mix fresh cream and Cadbury cocoa powder in a bowl.
4. Heat milk, add caster sugar to it and mix well. Add Cadbury cocoa powder mixture and mix again.
5. Add soaked agar and mix well. Filter the mixture and add thandai powder.
6. Melt Cadbury Dairy Milk Silk in a bowl. Pour the mixture into a serving dish, spread evenly and refrigerate for 7-8 hours. Add melted Cadbury Dairy Milk Silk and refrigerate for 40 to 50 minutes.
7. Pipe whipping cream, add thandai powder in the middle and garnish with dry rose petals.
