Ingredients to make Kulkul
Flour – 1 cup
Semolina – 1/4 cup
Kasuri methi – 2 tsp
Desi ghee – 2 tsp
Oil – for frying
salt – as per taste
How to make Kulkul
If you are going to make Kulkul as a namkeen for Christmas celebrations, then put flour in a big mixing bowl. After this, add semolina, kasoori fenugreek and salt as per taste to the flour. Mix all the ingredients together. After this add 2 teaspoons of desi ghee and mix it. Now add water little by little and knead the dough. If you want, you can also use lukewarm water to knead the dough.
After kneading the dough, cover it with a cloth for 15 minutes and keep it aside. After the completion of the fixed time, take the dough again and knead it once more. After this, make small balls of the dough and give them a round shape. After this, lightly press the round dough with the back side of the fork. Roll the top part so as to get a curved shape along the lines visible above.

Prepare Kulkul from all the balls one by one in the same way and keep it aside for half an hour. Now put oil in a pan and heat it on medium flame. When the oil becomes hot, put the kulkul in the oil one by one and deep fry them. Fry them on medium flame till they become golden and crispy. After this take it out in a plate. Similarly fry all the kulkuls. Serve them after they cool down.
