Christmas was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Delhi on Wednesday. People in the church prayed for good future and prosperity during special prayers. Since morning, the lyrics of the song Jingle Bell-Jingle Bell started falling in the ears around the church. After cutting the cake at night, people went to the church in the morning and saw Lord Jesus. Then they congratulated each other on Christmas by giving gifts.

People went to the homes of their close ones and relatives and got sweets offered to them. Christmas trees decorated with colorful lights were seen at many places and Santa gave gifts to children. Special decorations were seen in malls and restaurants. On the occasion of Christmas, a big screen was installed in the Sacred Church premises from where people could see the activities going on inside the church. Everyone was seen gathering outside the church, lighting candles and praying together.

People also started arriving at the Sacred Heart Cathedral Church located at Gol Post Office since morning. Standing in a long line, they prayed in front of Jesus and lit candles to remember him. Many children dressed as Santa appeared in the church along with their parents to listen to the stories of Lord Jesus. At midnight prayers on the birthday of Jesus were held in all parts of the capital.

On the occasion of Christmas, there was a similar scene at almost all the places in the capital. The whole of Delhi looked decorated. In such a situation, in the afternoon itself in the church, a picturesque scene like on Diwali night was created. After the prayer, everyone wished each other a Merry Christmas and sweetened their mouths with cakes and chocolates. After this, to make these moments memorable, everyone took selfies with their friends and family members. Not only in the church, but there was celebration of Christmas on the streets, markets and everywhere in Delhi.

Cathedral Church at North Avenue, Sacred Heart Cathedral Catholic Church at Connaught Place, St. James at Kashmere Gate, Central Baptist Church at Chandni Chowk and other churches were vibrant since the morning. In these, with the birth of the Lord, the period of humming bonfire and carol singing songs started. Small children reached the church to ask for their blessings. Santa and the Christmas tree remained the center of attraction for small children in the church. Churches were decorated with chandeliers, electric lights, Christmas trees and bells.
